A Nassau County restaurant owner is collecting donations to help the victims of a major earthquake in Panama.
"Churrasquiera Bairrada" has teamed up with the Panamanian Consulate and New York Yankees player Jose Caballero after the 7.7 magnitude earthquake decimated roads, homes and hospitals last Friday.
"They don't have electricity, they don't have food, they don't have water. People are dying because hospitals are destroyed and to make it worse this past weekend, there was a massive rain," said owner Hector Carvalho.
Carvalho says they are looking for donations of hygiene items, baby food and first aid kits. For more information on what to donate, you can click here.
