A Nassau Police officer was recognized on Wednesday for going above and beyond the call of duty.
The Town of Oyster Bay honored Officer Joseph Decole for being a good Samaritan.
The officer delivered topsoil and grass seed to a home on Clocks Boulevard in Massapequa after the lawn was ruined by a powerful nor'easter. He even offered to help spread out the soil and seed.
