Nassau police said they confiscated more than $100,000 worth of counterfeit designer goods in Uniondale Thursday.
Christopher Diaz and Lucious Williams, both of Hempstead, were arrested Wednesday night for selling phony sneakers, jeans and other items. The pair operated out of a building on the corner of Jerusalem Avenue and Uniondale Avenue, police said. Diaz and Williams were allegedly marketing a fake pair of $350 shoes for $40.
According to police, the pair rented out the building a day earlier. The landlord declined comment.
Police believe Diaz and Williams are a part of a larger counterfeit operation. Anyone with information is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
