(11/02/06) MINEOLA - Nassau police have identified the female body found fatally shot in the chest in a wooded Roosevelt area on October 18.
Guerline Lefevre of Queens remained a Jane Doe for more than two weeks before police ascertained her identity. Investigators say they are unsure if the homicide occurred in the wooded area where Lefevre was discovered or if she was brought there after the shooting.
After contacting local and regional law enforcement agencies, Nassau police say they were very concerned that nobody had reported the 21-year-old missing.
