An alleged drug dealer has been arrested in connection to a fatal overdose in Nassau County.
Police say Anthony Legette recently sold a deadly mixture of heroin and fentanyl to a Massapequa man.
Investigators believe Legette, 28, of East Patchogue, is also connected to numerous deals from Farmingdale to Massapequa.
Legette is charged with criminal sale of a control substance.
Police say those charges may be upgraded.
Meanwhile, earlier this week police arrested three suspects following one deadly and one non-fatal overdose in Nassau.
Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder says police are out doing enforcement and education.
At a meeting Wednesday night about overdoses in Farmingdale, Ryder says there have been 18 ODs so far this year – one of them fatal.
Ryder says they have seen a 24 percent reduction in non-fatal heroin overdoses, but the numbers are still higher than the department would like.
