696ds agoThe Nassau PBA gave away 1,000 backpacks Wednesday to kids just in time for the start of the school year.
The PBA partnered with the Nassau Police Foundation for the giveaway event in Island Park.
Each backpack was filled with supplies including masks, notebooks and pens.
The free backpacks were given to Nassau students ages 5 to 15 years old.
