Many Jewish groups came together Monday to stand with Israel in the wake of deadly attacks.
There was a service at the Jewish Community Center (JCC) in Commack and a JCC event in Greenvale. At both ceremonies, people were crying, embracing and singing songs for the living, while also praying for the dead.
Sarah Unger Benjamin from Roslyn says she is concerned for her children's safety, even here on Long Island. "Jewish parents are always afraid for their children, there is a constant threat against Jews, antisemitism is real, but my children attend the JCC, they attend every week, and I won't stop," Unger Benjamin said.
At the service, Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman announced 20 additional police cars will be out, they have mobilized the swat team and various other units. "We will continue to do whatever is necessary to keep the people of Nassau safe," Blakeman stated.

Blakeman also announced that there will be a massive gathering with thousands of people at Eisenhower Park at the Lakeside Theater Tuesday for a countywide Israel support gathering at 6 p.m.
