Two North Carolina men were indicted Monday for allegedly neglecting over a dozen puppies and a toddler earlier this month in Wyandanch.

Suffolk District Attorney Ray Tierney says police found 19 puppies crammed in a plastic bin, covered in feces without food or water. They also found a 2-year-old child in the backseat near two loaded firearms.

Russel Brown and Jamar Belle were arrested in connection to the incident.

The puppies and child are OK.

Both Brown and Belle are due back in court next month.
