Nassau lawmakers are proposing new legislation Tuesday to keep BB and paintball guns out of the hands of children. Currently, there is no law restricting anyone under the age of 18 from buying a BB or paintball gun in Nassau. Lawmakers are proposing legislation that would only allow stores to sell the potentially dangerous weapons to people over the age of 18. Some storeowners in Nassau say that they have voluntarily restricted the sale of the guns to teens. They say, however, with the Internet anyone can get their hands on almost anything.
