Curran: Nassau on track to begin phase 4 reopening Wednesday
undefined
Nassau officials say the county is on track to begin phase four of reopening on Wednesday.
As of Monday, there were 43 new positive cases and zero new deaths reported across the area.
Phase four includes the reopening of museums, higher education, zoos, aquariums, historical sites and outdoor gardens. However, malls, gyms, and movie theaters are not included.
Nassau County Executive Laura Curran says catering halls can operate as a food service with their restaurant – but there is no clarity from the state yet on when they can operate with events.
“By and large people are doing the right thing and continue to do the right thing in Nassau. I am grateful to our residents and businesses,” says Curran.
Curran also welcomed back youth sports – with the reopening of 60 athletic fields across the county. Batting cages will also be open at Cantiague and Eisenhower parks.
