The students
involved in the incident were from Lafrancis Hardiman Elementary School.
The company that provided the slide is pinning the blame
on the Wyandanch School District.
The company says there was not enough supervision, which
allowed 14 children to climb onto a slide designed to hold only two people.
The company said the school told them they had 30
supervisors, who weren't there.

Party said it's the customer's responsibility to understand how dangerous the
items could be.
“It's actually very self-explanatory,
honestly, because if there's too many kids in one bouncer it's only a matter of
time before someone is going to get hurt,” said Zoraida Rodriguez, Jump Around Party rental manager.
It's not clear who was assigned to watch the children at
the time of the incident.
The
Wyandanch School District says it's working with the rental company to
investigate.
The Town of Babylon says the one child still in the hospital has a broken hip and collar bone. All other children who went to the hospital have been released.
