Power restored in Valley Stream after Christmas Day outage
34m agoAn unidentified person was fatally struck by a Long Island Rail Road train early Tuesday, according to an MTA spokesperson.
It happened at the Cuba Hill Road railroad crossing in Greenlawn around 1:30 a.m.
Metropolitan Transportation Authority police say the person was hit by the 1:04 a.m. train heading east to Port Jefferson.
Service was delayed for around two hours.
The MTA says an investigation is ongoing.
