Here’s what you need to know:
  • It's cool and partly cloudy this morning. Temperatures are in the low 60s.
  • Today will be slightly warmer with filtered sunshine and low humidity. Highs will be in upper 70s.
  • An approaching cold front will move through our area on Friday. An isolated shower/sprinkle is possible Friday morning/early afternoon. Significant rainfall isn’t expected with this storm system. Friday will stay mainly dry
  • We’re currently under a moderate drought across the city. Water conservation may be necessary in the next few weeks if the dry pattern doesn’t break. Stay tuned for updates.
  • Labor Day weekend will be spectacular with sunshine, highs in the 70s to near 80 and low humidity.
  • After this cool stretch into early next week, temperatures are trending warmer than normal for the month of September.
  • WATCHING THE TROPICS: The tropics are quiet with currently no tropical disturbances in the Atlantic. Saharan Dust blowing off the coast of Africa is inhibiting tropical systems from developing. The peak of hurricane season is on September 10th. More tropical activity is expected over the next few weeks. Stay tuned for updates!
