Summer-like heat and humidity continues into Friday in The Bronx

Friday and Saturday are warm and humid, with temperatures in the low to middle 80s at their warmest.

Repeat shower and storm chances plague us over the next few days - but we aren't dealing with a washout. Showers and storms arrive early on during the overnight, and taper by early parts of Friday morning. The rest of Friday is fine, with sun and clouds and still some breeziness and lingering humidity. Friday and Saturday are warm and humid, with temperatures in the low to middle 80s at their warmest.
Continuing to keep a close eye on Saturday evening shower and storm chances. Humidity, heat and just the right amount of instability could cause storms to fire up during the second half of the day. These could linger into early Sunday. Temperatures will dramatically adjust as the weekend progresses. Sunday's highs are only expected to be in the middle 70s, with lows back into the higher 50s. A cool and comfortable period follows for next week.
While we are seeing multiple opportunities for rain over the next several days, we remain in a very dry pattern. These showers and storms alone are not enough to help with our drought.
OVERNIGHT: Lows in the higher 60s. Showers and storms possible early on, clears by daybreak.
FRIDAY: Early morning shower chances, clears out for most of the commute. Sun and clouds for the second half of day. Highs in the low 80s, lows in the low 70s.
SATURDAY: Nice start with evening shower and storm chances. Highs in the middle 80s, lows in the low 60s.
SUNDAY: Chance of lingering showers into the morning - dries out for second half. Clouds and sun to follow. Highs in the middle 70s, lows in the high 50s.
NEXT WEEK: Highs remain cooler in the 70s.
