The next few days will be quite chilly with highs near 50 degrees and lows near 30 degrees.

Alert: Red Flag warning till 6 p.m. for Long Island.
WHAT'S NEXT: FREEZE WARNING FOR SOUTHERN NASSAU COUNTY Midnight to 9 a.m Thursday. Very dry conditions through weekend. Fire threat will continue for the foreseeable future.
WHAT'S NEW: Winds not as strong today. Winds on Tuesday where 35 to 45 mph. Today wind gusts 25 to at times 35 mph.
Cold air moving in from Canada will produce lows into the 20s and 30s and highs only around 50 degrees. We do have a warm up towards the weekend.
The overall dry weather trend continues through the weekend.

Today: Mostly Sunny, with a high near 49. Wind chill values between 25 and 35 early.
Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 29. Cold with areas of frost.
Thursday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 50. Wind chill values between 20 and 30 early.
Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 57.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 60.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 61.
Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 61.
