Families got a chance to countdown to 12 with their kids for New Year's Eve without keeping everyone up past their bedtime Saturday afternoon.
The Long Island Children's Museum hosted it's "Noon Year's Eve" party for youngsters who aren't old enough for the actual ball drop.
It was the first time since the COVID-19 outbreak that the museum was able to host the event, which included dance contests, crafts and other activities.
Organizers said it's been the busiest December week they've ever had and were excited so many families got to ring in the "new year" early with them.
"It means a lot to us that they come here to celebrate with us," said museum communications director Maureen Mangan. She added that while it has been a busy week, her staff has been energized by the turnout.
"This morning, they were all ready to go," she added.
