A woman fought off a dog Friday - and the tense scene was caught on a home surveillance video.

In the video, you can see a Doberman coming out from under a fence in a Middle Island neighborhood. It then tries to attack a little dog named Ziggy.

The owner is seen quickly running over and pulling the neighbor's dog away before yelling for help.

Her husband is seen running over to bring Ziggy back to safety.

She tells News 21 that she chose to pull the Doberman away - instead of grabbing Ziggy first.

"I knew if I could get control of the larger dog, my little man would have a better shot," she says.

The Doberman was released back to the neighbors.
