Basketball brought a community together Saturday and kept the memory alive of a Bay Shore boy killed three years ago.
Mark Anthony Felder, known as ?Boomer,? was 12 when he was killed riding his bicycle. More than 150 kids took part in the third annual basketball tournament that was held in his memory. Barbara Felder says the tournament celebrates her son?s life and love of basketball.
The Felders say the money raised will go toward a foundation to make a difference in their community. The Michael Jordan Basketball Camp has agreed to match funds to send two kids to basketball summer camp next year. Along with the basketball camp, funds will also help other parents who have lost children.
