Residents on the North Fork spent the day cleaning up after Wednesday's storms socked the area.
The National Weather Service confirms a weak EF-0 tornado, with winds of up to 70 mph, touched down in Mattituck.
The most significant damage appeared to be on Blossom Bend, with downed tree limbs and debris strewn across the roadway.
Meantime, Southold fire officials say a massive house fire on Wells Road in Peconic was caused by a lightning strike. Firefighters responded within minutes, but the house was completely destroyed. No one was hurt.
A home in Amagansett and a home in Sag Harbor were also hit by lightning.
The storm also flooded streets and brought down tree limbs on the East End.
