A man was shot and injured during an armed robbery at a Deer Park auto repair shop early Saturday morning.
Sufolk police say two men wearing ski masks and gloves entered the Ultimate Transmission shop on Saxwood Street around 5 a.m. They demanded cash from a worker, and a confrontation ensued.
One of the suspects fired two shots, hitting the man in the leg.
The suspects fled the shop with cash and jewelry.
The victim was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore.
Both suspects are described as 5 feet 10 inches tall with thin builds.
