A man was crushed to death while doing auto repairs Friday in North Amityville.

Police say a call reporting the incident on Brown Avenue came in just before 4:30 p.m. Friday.

The unidentified man's body was covered with a white sheet as investigators processed the scene. A section of Brown Avenue was closed to traffic.

It's unclear if the victim lived in the home or was just there working on the vehicle when he was crushed.
