A former Long Island Marine convicted of brutally raping and murdering a Medford mother has died in prison.

The Department of Corrections says Dante Taylor was pronounced dead at a hospital on Saturday.

As News 12 has reported, the 22-year-old was serving a life sentence for the murder of Sarah Goode in 2014.

Goode was stabbed more than 40 times and found dumped in the woods near her Medford home.

There is no word on Taylor’s cause of death.
