Surveillance video shows driver hitting, injuring a teen riding bike in West Islip neighborhood

Police say an undomiciled man has been arrested for the attempted burglary of a home in Mineola.

According to detectives, Terrance Fews, 58, attempted to open the front door of a Pennsylvania Avenue residence on Sunday around 11:20 p.m.

After a thorough investigation, it was determined that Fews was observed on surveillance video attempting to gain entry. 

Police say there was no entry into the home or proceeds taken that were reported.

A short time later, officers located Fews outside the 3rd Precinct and placed him into custody.

Fews is charged with burglary.
