The order of protection has been extended for man accused of attempting to kill his ex-girlfriend and killing her mother.
It has been extended until May 7, when Ramon Reyes is set to be in court next.
He was supposed to face a judge Thursday, but because court cases are backed up, his court date was moved.
Ramon Reyes was arrested shortly after the death of 57-year-old Rosemary Tapia Bautista on April 6.
Police say Reyes broke into the home of his ex-girlfriend Massiel Guerra on Park Avenue, at 7 a.m. early last month. Tapia was found with multiple stab wounds throughout her body and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Guerra was also found stabbed but survived. The couple share two children who were present during another domestic incident dating back to 2023, where Reyes brutally beat Guerra.
He is set to be in court next Wednesday, and he is facing multiple charges, including murder and attempted murder.
