Courtney Foley from Suffolk County was always creative and artistic. Long Island's natural beauty inspired her. She makes coastal art pieces in an office space in Bohemia.
“I do everything from cups to tables to clocks to cutting boards, you name it. I can do it," said Courtney.
Courtney started preserving flowers in resin, and then the coastal theme came to shore. “I had someone come to me with flowers and leaves, and they were like, what can you do with it? So I made some little dishes with the epoxy for them, and then I'm like, this is cool; what else can I do with this?" In 2021, she turned her art hobby into a career move. She started
LI.Art.Coasts. It was all self-taught.
She sells her products at local craft fairs across the Island and has shipped her pieces nationwide.
"Starting as something small and then getting that first order, it was cool to be like I'm here. I'm doing it like somebody wants my product, and it's cool to make my art part of somebody else's world.”
