Brittany Boccio turned her Sayville basement into a workshop.
In January, she started her printing business, BB Sign Co, to help others cherish memories on their special days. She designs custom, personalized signage for all kinds of events.
Boccio has previously worked in the printing industry. During the pandemic, she worked for her dad's printing company.
While working there, some of her friends, who are event planners, came to her for custom signs.
"One thing led to another, and it blew up in this whole new world of signage," said Boccio. "Each project is so different and unique." Now, her business is her full-time job.
Boccio's father, Andrew Boccio, couldn't be prouder as his daughter continued working in the printing industry.
"My dad was a printer, so I followed in his footsteps, which I never thought I would — and now that Brittany has started doing it - it's great that she found her niche, which is weddings," said Andrew Boccio.
While Boccio makes her mark, she still turns to her father for advice and support.
"He did the same thing. He took the risk back in the 80s and started his own printing company, and he's very successful, and I am hoping to follow in his footsteps," said Boccio.
