Long Islanders pitched in on Thanksgiving to help feed the less fortunate.
Two West Babylon High School students, Rachel Bosak and Frank Marone, prepared Thanksgiving turkey and all the fixings for more than 100 people at the Mercy Inn of Wyandanch.
At the United Methodist Church in Patchogue, about 200 Thanksgiving meals were served to the needy, which volunteers say is a 100 percent increase over last year.
"In the morning we saw a lot of homeless men, a lot of veterans, and we're now seeing some of the elderly women," says Greg Davidowitch, of Patchogue.
