Long Islanders are just hours away from being able to pull out their phones from wherever they are and place a sports bet.
"Yeah, I'm really excited to just take all my money and bet it all," said Nick Clemente, of Bay Shore. He says he recently started getting into sport betting and is glad he won't have to leave home to place a bet.
"Simple way to make money from sitting on the couch," says Lucas Burns, also of Bay Shore.
Changing Time Sports Bar manager Eric Lukash says he believes this will be a boom to his business as well.
"I feel as though more groups you'll see coming out because they're not just going to be coming to a sports bar to enjoy a game, they're going to be coming out with a little extra incentive," Lukash says.
Other Long Islanders say they agree that mobile sports betting will be a big benefit for everyone. However, some hope it will not be taken too far, citing those who may have an addiction to gambling.
Caesars Sports Book, Draft Kings, Fan Duel, and Rush Streets Interactive have been approved and will accept sport bets Saturday morning at 9 a.m.
