Long Islanders are bundling up for the second day in a row dealing with temperatures that feel in the single digits and even lower than that to start the day.

Bitterly cold conditions are expected to stick around for much of Wednesday.

It's important to layer up, limit your time outdoors when possible and do whatever you can to stay warm.

Commuters along the Port Washington Long Island Rail Road line are breathing a small sign of relief ahead of a chilly commute after the MTA announced it repaired a pair of broken rails on Tuesday.

Issues popped up between Northport and Kings Park and near Cold Spring Harbor.

Some relief is on the way as temperatures are expected to rebound to more seasonable starting on Thursday.
