A crash in Stony Brook left one person dead on Saturday evening, according to police.

Authorities say a pedestrian was struck by a car around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Nicolls Road and Nesconset Highway.

The victim has yet to be identified. Investigators describe her as a Hispanic woman between 30 and 40 years of age.
