India is suffering through a devastating wave of COVID-19, but some Long Island doctors are working hard to help save lives there.
Doctors from the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin of Queens and Long Island are volunteering telehealth visits for patients in India.
They're also helping overwhelmed doctors with expertise in treatment and care using their experience they got during the pandemic U.S.
The group says it's truly making a difference and saving lives even though the visits are virtual from halfway around the world.
The doctors are also raising money to purchase badly needed PPE, medicines and oxygen concentrators to ship to India.
