New York's state-run vaccination sites are back up and running, including those at Stony Brook University and Jones Beach. But after the suspension of many appointments over the past few days, there is now a backlog to be handled.
Many say it was mass confusion after their appointments were canceled because of the bad weather, and then rescheduled. Some showed up at Jones Beach Field 3 after the site reopened Wednesday.
Long Island residents who spoke to News 12 say they had made their appointment online for Wednesday and had no problems at all when they got there.
"Very happy we were in and out of here in less than an hour, so we can't complain," said Rosemary Balling, of Seaford.
But not everyone has had the same experience. Tony Farina told News 12 earlier this week that after his appointment was canceled Saturday, he was never notified and had issues rescheduling. Farina says he finally got the call to reschedule Wednesday and has rescheduled.
At the Jones Beach site Wednesday, there was a long ling in the morning, but things calmed down a bit in the afternoon before picking up again in the evening.
