Tropical Storm Danny could be headed for Long Island in the next few days, which has residents and towns preparing themselves for the worst.
News 12 Long Island meteorologist Bill Korbel says the storm is traveling up the East Coast and could bring hurricane conditions to Long Island on Friday or Saturday.
Nassau emergency management officials say they have an evacuation plan in place, but don?t expect a major evacuation scenario. They also say they?re preparing to open shelters in case residents need a place to go.
