Long Beach PD: Driver strikes cars, trees and 69-year-old man; fled scene

Long Beach police say a 2011 Chrysler sped through a red light on East Park Avenue, crashing into a car on the opposite side of the road.

There was an active scene in Long Beach Friday evening following a hit-and-run crash.
Long Beach police say a 2011 Chrysler sped through a red light on East Park Avenue, crashing into a car on the opposite side of the road.
The vehicle then hit two trees, a utility pole and a 69-year-old man, who was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
The vehicle had three other passengers, one was also taken to the hospital.
The driver ran off. Police did not say if he had been apprehended.
