Long Beach dad cheers on Bruins player son during playoffs against Isles

Twelve-thousand people will pack Nassau Coliseum Thursday to root for the Islanders in game 3 of their playoff series against the Bruins. But at least one Long Islander will be cheering for Boston - and for a good reason.

Twelve-thousand people will pack Nassau Coliseum Thursday to root for the Islanders in game 3 of their playoff series against the Bruins. But at least one Long Islander will be cheering for Boston - and for a good reason.
Charlie McAvoy Sr. is one proud dad. His son, Charlie McAvoy Jr. scored the game winner in game 1 against the Islanders.
He says he jumped so high, he thinks his shoulder popped out of its socket.
Through two games this series, McAvoy has a goal, an assist and some bragging rights.
