Local leaders and elected officials joined the American
Jewish Committee this morning to talk about anti-Jewish hatred and how to combat it in
Melville.
The group addressed the growing issue of antisemitism on Long Island.
The AJC
released a report of antisemitism in America, and it shows 41% of Jews feel less
safe than they felt this time last year. In addition, 40% of Jews are changing
their behavior due to the recent uptick.
The AJC
says bringing together officials will show that antisemitism has no place on
Long Island.
