A Lloyd Harbor police officer is accused of pushing a 65-year-old man to the ground at the Massapequa train station last month, according to court documents.
Dennis Guariglia allegedly exchanged words with the man before the incident.
According to the complaint, the victim, who suffered bruises on the back of his head and arm, claims that Guariglia told him he was a cop, shoved a police shield in his face and then drove off.
Guariglia was off duty at the time of the alleged incident.
Lloyd Harbor police say the 35-year-old is still on active duty pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
