After a messy commute, Long Island Rail Road officials say Monday night's switch problem in Central Islip has been resolved.
An MTA spokesperson says the issue was resolved overnight.  As of now, all trains remain on or close to schedule.
Officials say a message or alert would be sent out to commuters if there would be more service distributions Tuesday due to the problem. Commuters say they never received any message from the railroad.
Many commuters also had endured a rough Monday morning commute after two separate fatal train accidents forced the suspension of service in both directions between Penn Station and Jamaica, as well as between Hicksville and Ronkonkoma.
LIRR then added service distributions to the Babylon, Montauk and Port Jefferson lines.
