Service is back to normal on the Long Island Rail Road this morning after a night of delays and cancellations.
Signal trouble east of Jamaica caused system-wide delays of 20 to 30 minutes Tuesday night.
The MTA says it sent out text message alerts to warn riders about the service changes.
The issues followed trouble Tuesday morning on the Long Beach branch, when an unoccupied train partially derailed. The derailment forced the shutdown of the entire branch for several hours during the morning rush.
Both hiccups came during what Gov. Andrew Cuomo warned would be a "summer of hell" for rail riders.
