Concerns continue for some South Shore communities over another tide cycle in Lindenhurst after many streets were flooded during high tide Thursday night as the first nor'easter of the fall season swept through.

Flooding on Shore Road caused problems for residents and drivers Friday morning. The water on the road should recede more as the tide gets lower. But flooding will be a concern tonight too when it's high tide again.

In Islip, crews rolled out the town's storm-fighting equipment.

The tankers can suck up to 85,000 gallons of water from flooded streets.
