A Long Islander is on a quest to keep alive the memory of her murdered sister.
Tara Stevens was just 25 years old when she died at the hands of her abusive husband.
In the 10 years since her death, Tara's sister, Dhonna Goodale, of Riverhead, has raised money in her memory for various charities.
Her annual summertime fundraising party takes place Aug. 25.
