A North Babylon man is accused of trying to meet the pope at JFK by sneaking on to his motorcade.
Retired city firefighter Chris Cannella was arrested Saturday at the airport.
According to court documents, Cannella flashed a retired FDNY badge and drove his black Chevy Tahoe behind a UN motorcade.
The pope had already left for Philadelphia when Cannella was arrested.

Police say the 39-year-old had a knife and hollow bullets in his SUV.
Cannella also allegedly said he wanted to give the pope his business card and "talk to world leaders to effectuate change."
