LI gets first taste of winter with snowy commute
Snow covered the ground in parts of Long Island this morning, but for the most part there was minor accumulation.
However, the wintry weather created some problems for LIRR commuters. Trains were operating slower than usual due to slippery rail conditions. Officials blame fallen leaves on the tracks for much of the messy commute.
Meanwhile, it was a different story in Western Pennsylvania. Some people in Pittsburgh woke up to find three inches of snow on the ground.
