Over two dozen Long Island cheerleaders are rallying against a COVID-19 vaccine requirement for a state competition.
The cheerleaders joined Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman Tuesday to demand that the venue holding the competition change its vaccination policy.
The event is being held at Rochester Institute of Technology, which requires people to be vaccinated for on-campus events.
Blakeman is urging the school to let unvaccinated athletes compete.
