Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck a man in Levittown late Friday night.
Police say Sarem Naibzada was struck while walking across Hilltop Road.
The incident was caught on a surveillance camera. The video shows the man being hit by a four-door sedan after slowing down for a stop sign.
Naibzada told News 12 that it looked like the male driver was “shocked that he hit someone.”
“But he obviously didn't think about stopping to check and see if I was OK,” he said.
A couple on a motorcycle says they witnessed the incident. The wife stayed with the 19-year-old and called 911 while the husband, Matt Long, tried to chase down the driver.
Long told News 12 that his brother was killed in 2011 by a hit-and-run driver who was never brought to justice.
"Something just took over me. I had no control at all. All I wanted to do is get a [license plate,]” said Long. “He was definitely trying to get away. He knew exactly what he did, you could tell.”
Long said he got a partial New York license plate of “GRF” and says it looked like a silver or gray Infiniti with dark windows.
Authorities are urging anyone who has information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
