A lawsuit has been filed against Kumo Japanese Steakhouse in Stony Brook over a foodborne illness incident.
The suit comes after 28 people became sick at the sushi restaurant over the weekend.

Lawyers say Kumo served cooked rice that had been stored at room temperature for too long, resulting in people getting sick.
Several people were taken to the hospital for emergency medical treatment.
