Knicks President Phil Jackson addressed the media for the first time since firing the team's head coach, but the talk today was more about Carmelo Anthony's future with the team.
Jackson says he wants Anthony to come back, but for less money. Anthony said he would take a pay cut, and Jackson used players from the Miami Heat as an example of stars playing for less money to build a winning team. Jackson says he hopes Anthony stays true to his word.
Jackson fired head coach Mike Woodson Monday. He has no replacement in mind yet, but wants a coach in place by the time the Knicks begin their summer training camp in July.
