A Glen Cove police cruiser was rammed by a kidnapping suspect in Manhasset, according to police.

Investigators say the male suspect was holding a woman against her will in the passenger seat of a vehicle in Glen Cove. Police attempted to stop the car shortly after 12 p.m. on Monday near the intersection of Glen Cove and Ralph Young avenues.

The pursuit led police into Manhasset, where authorities say the suspect intentionally crashed into a patrol car.

The suspect then let the female victim exit the car and continued driving. Police say his current whereabouts are unknown.

Authorities say no one was injured during the chase, or as a result of the crash.

The female victim is currently safe.

Police says the car is a 2017 black Honda Accord. They called off the chase once the victim was determined to be safe.
