After Black Friday and Cyber Monday, how can you keep arriving packages safe and secure?
The United States Postal Inspection Service says don't let your mail linger. Pick your mail up quickly.
Other tips include:
  • If you can't be home, arrange for mail to be picked up, or have it be held at mail carriers. They offer a variety of services.
  • You can even place vacation holds at some retailors if you're planning to go out of town.
  • Send packages to a secure place, like a UPS mailbox, Amazon pickup locker, or PO Box.
  • Request signature for deliveries.
  • Keep up with tracking.
  • Don't send cash in the mail.
  • Install a security camera to help deter stealing packages.
Another new tip, purchase package insurance. Companies offer insurances to help you in case of porch pirates.
