This holiday season, Amazon is relying heavily on artificial intelligence (AI) to speed up deliveries and meet the growing demand for fast and convenient shipping.

A Turn to Tara report finds that Amazon's AI algorithms analyze regional demands and work with selling partners to place inventory closer to customers, reducing delivery times.

According to Valeria Pascucci, Amazon's director of same-day delivery, the company uses machine learning technology to predict what products customers want, when they want them, and where.

In the tri-state area, popular purchases this year include Apple Air Tags and wireless AirBuds.

In one remarkable case, a pair of baby socks was delivered to a customer's doorstep in just 47 minutes, setting a new record for the fastest delivery time.
